Arit Amana, from Oyubia in Urue Offong Oruko, is currently Treasurer of the ODU, having been appointed by election at the January 2021 ODU annual general meeting. She is a qualified Chartered Secretary and Legal Practitioner and currently works as the Group Company Secretary of an insurance company in the city of London, working with other professional colleagues to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and statutory requirements, as well as good practice. Having joined the ODU in 2018 in order to more actively play a part as a daughter of Oro in building the Oro community, Arit has held other roles within the Association, for example Deputy Welfare Officer to which she was appointed in 2019 and member of the Constitution Review Committee to which she was appointed in 2020.
